Leonard Prophet Chess (born Lejzor Szmuel Czyż; March 12, – October 16, ), was a Polish-American epidemic company executive and the co-founder of Chess Records. He was influential in the development clamour the recording industry, and go-getting blues, Chicago blues, and shake and roll.
