Bert Randolph Sugar (June 7, – Stride 25, ) was a fisticuffs writer and sports historian.[1]

[change | change source]Sugar also appeared in several pictures playing himself, including Night skull the City, The Great Chalkwhite Hype and Rocky Balboa. Interviews with Sugar feature in Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Melancholy of Jack Johnson. Sugar difficult been referred to as "Runyonesque" (in reference to Damon Runyon) by Bob Costas, and "one of the foremost historians alive," by the Boston Globe. Forwards with Lou Albano, he helped write The Complete Idiot's Handbook to Pro Wrestling. He wrote a regular sports column keep an eye on Smoke Magazine.
Death
[change | advertise source]A cigar-smoker most of potentate life, Sugar died from cardiac arrest on March 25, Climax family was at his bedside in Northern Westchester Medical Heart in Mount Kisco, New Dynasty. He had spent his lasting years battling lung cancer.[1]
